Friday in Heels: Jessica Simpson Pump

Allow me to introduce my spectacular Jessica Simpson Platinum Metalic Herringbone Pumps. Purchased by my mother in August at Nordstrom for $98, they suffered a 2-month waiting period before I deemed it “fall-like-enough” to actually be worn. The manufacturer’s picture below doesn’t quite do them justice, as they’re more an army green than grey. The black trim is gros-grain, which is adorably cute – especially juxtaposed against the hardness of the studs.

When it comes to wearability, the news isn’t so rosy. They felt like new leather school shoes. The one’s you whined about and your mother said “just need to be broken in!” The fit was fine, they were just … tight! I wore them for about 10 hours without blisters or weeping, but I doubt they’ll make a reappearance at work.  As Oprah would say, these are 3 hour shoes.

Added bonus: the heel is very high, so when I wear them, I am TALL!
